We all know that there are reggae versions of well known Christmas standards, sometimes dull, sometimes truly enjoyable. However the most appealing songs for reggae and dancehall aficionados are the real original ones like e.g. Yellowman's "Santa Claus Never Comes To The Ghetto", Queen Omega's "Light Up The Collie Tree", Elephant Man's "Bad Man Christmas", and Beenie Man's "Pum Pum X-Mas".

With Christmas just around the corner, Lyrical War Records has unleashed their "Rich Fi Di Christmas" riddim, which happens to be a real nice danceable dancehall beat. Apart from the usual suspects on a Lyrical War riddim, this juggling set also features contributions from Dan Giovanni, Chaos, and the "Gaza" and "Worl’Boss"-defender Dwayno, well known from the smashing hit "Don A Road". Dwayno gets things going with the x-rated "Good Pussy", followed by the tune's clean version called "Good Body". Regarding the lyrical content of "Bag Fullah Shot", Christmas seemingly isn't a calm and tranquil time for African. The latter's effort belongs to the best tunes on the riddim. Both Jami Dread's "Money Christmas" and Merchant's "Jingle Bell" are solid conscious pieces, addressing the wish of starting rich into the New Year, to get rid of financial and other life troubles and sorrows. One of our favourite cuts is CJ Killawno's "Dem Days", which let's you reminisce about the good old memories of experiencing Christmas as a child.

Overall opinion is that this is an entertaining Christmas present outta Austria.
