At the beginning of 2008 Greensleeves unleashed a smooth collection called "Songs For Reggae Lovers", a fine double CD filled with 30 tracks aimed at the more mature reggae listener, who wants to sit back and listen to melodic reggae from present and past. Six years later the company unleashes another superb collection of reggae tunes.

Disc One offers a serious selection of contemporary lovers tunes. The disc opens with Maxi Priest's Every Little Thing a recent hit from his current album "Easy To Love". Lovers rock crooner Terry Linen latest album is called "Welcome To My World" produced by the esteemed Joe Fraser Crew. One of the stand out tracks include the romantic Have To Get To Know You. Hawaiian singer-songwriter Anuhea teams up with Jamaican vocalist Tarrus Riley on Only Man In The World. The song debuted at #6 on Billboard's World Music chart and peaked at #4 on the iTunes Reggae Chart - making this VP Records' best-selling first week for a single since Gyptian's "Hold You." This wonderful tune is also included on VP Records' compilation set "Dub Rockers". J Boog does a moving rendition of Gregory Isaacs' hit Cool Down The Pace. A couple of years back Sanchez relicked the Chi-Lites' sweet soul classic Homely Girl, a tune made famous by UK reggae band UB40. Chino contributes a dancehall flavored tune Leaving (Seal The Link) from his 2011 album "Chino". In 2012 Slow Wind was the break out viral & radio smash from Swiss' "Mr Slow Wind EP". At just 20 years old, Swiss, had already captivated online audiences generating over 275,000 views on Youtube for his independently produced hit Slow Wind. Reggae veteran Marcia Griffiths teams up with German reggae superstar Gentleman for a nice cover of Bob Andy's Studio One hit Desperate Lover.

Disc Two gives a great 'oldies but goodies' selection, with nuff nuff highlights. Underrated singer Barry Biggs, a former recording engineer and cameraman with the Jamaican Broadcasting Company, scored worldwide with Side Show, originally a smooth soul ballad by the band Blue Magic. Freddie McGregor's giant mid 80s hit Push Comes To Shove is included here too, followed by Wayne Wade's cover of the Kenny Rogers's tune Lady, Worthwhile checking out for sure is the combination Cocoa Tea and Cutty Ranks. Bobby Digital produced a perfect do-over of the Bob Marley hit single Waiting In Vain with the combination of sweet voiced Cocoa Tea and Cutty Ranks' commanding deejay style.

Perfect set if you're into sweet and melodic reggae. Enjoy!
