Not only is VP Records' "Strictly The Best" the longest running compilation series, it's also the most successful reggae/dancehall series of all times. Again reggae's leading record company has unleashed two samplers that wrap up the year, with this disc focusing on the biggest hits from the dancehall arena, while the reggae disc is dedicated to modern roots and lovers rock.

This compilation opens with One By One a tune on the riddim of the same name. Laza and top deejay Mavado deliver a sure shot cross-over hit! Demarco comes next with his self penned & self produced tune Love My Life. This positive tune surfaced at the end of 2010 and has been a dancehall favourite throughout the next year. The following two tunes come across Adidjahiem's infectious latin flavoured 'Summertime' riddim. Vybz Kartel and Popcaan did good business with their versions of the riddim. Excellent party tunes!

Beenie Man keeps on bringing superb dancehall tunes. Here he is present with his lick of the Overproof riddim, inviting everyone for 'the summer'. Once more hitmaker Mavado takes over with Final Destination, a great tune across the Summer Fling riddim. His combination tune Every Gal with Chipmunk gives us a good amount of hip hop vibes. International star Sean Paul teams up with Alexis Jordan for Got 2 Luv U, a poppy cross-over tune. Truly hilarious and over the top is Swaggin (WTF) (Too Bad For You) by Wayne Marshall, Tifa and Future Fambo.

Tony Matterhorn brings us back to the dancehall with Dancehall Duppy, an hardcore authentic diss tune. The reply comes from Twin of Twins with Cigarette Murder, the DJ Frass' tune across the Hot Pattty riddim. Bounty Killer's Ready Fi Dem sees The Warlord in a severe aggressive style. Chino contributes God Nah Sleep (Rise and Fall Story), a fine rootical tune. The album closes with Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley who brings Wanted, an awesome song based on Dr. Dre's classic tune 'The Watcher'.

Nice and well varied compilation set!
