North London-based musician/producer Mykey Samuels of "Big Man Productions" has unleashed the second edition of his "Street Dealers" series, simply titled "Street Dealers Vol. 2". The formula is quite the same as utilized for its predecessor from 2002 : street music delivered by largely unknown local talent from the U.K. Apart from singjay Super Flex and former Jah Tubby singer Errol Bellot, who are probably well known to followers of the UK reggae dancehall scene, none of the artists featured here have attracted notable attention yet. However, this doesn't imply that they aren't worth of hearing. Singers and deejays such as Raging Terror, Stone, Kani Kedar, Young Gun and female singjay N.V. (New Vibes) are truly worthwhile checking out. Here they deliver convincing efforts across well laid original street beats. The tracks we enjoyed most are "Listen Up" by N.V. (New Vibes), "My Woman" by Errol Bellot & Militant Mikey, Sparky's "Hustling Life", Ranging Terror's "Jah Know", Young Gun's "Golden Rule" and Stone's "Love Like This".
Not the usual suspects from Jamaica, but fresh talent from the U.K. that deserves to be heard.
