Throughout the years the "Strictly The Best" series has grown to a top-quality level and has become an essential purchase as it keeps one updated with the newest and hottest aspects in the reggae industry. Since its inception in 1990 the series has always given reggae lovers (in this case it's probably better to speak of dancehall lovers) the best mix of hits possible and this volume is no exception to it.
"Strictly the best 19" features a real wicked compilation of this year's best, freshest and chart topping dancehall artists' cuts on all of the hottest riddims, including Dave "CD" Kelly's newest creation the "Rae Rae" riddim, brother Anthony Kelly's "Cloake & Dagger" riddim, Steely & Clevie's "Copy Cat" riddim and Sly & Robbie's "La Trenggae" sound. Besides this it showcases the production work of legends like Phillip "Fattis" Burrell, Richard Bell and Bobby "Digital" Dixon as well as young budding producer talent (C. Hylton of the 'Bust Out' label, Jeremy of '2 Hard Limited' and J. Sterling of 'Jahmekya Records'). Furthermore it gives a batch of today's talent a go, ranging from "his royal highness of dancehall reggae music" Beenie Man to the most profound newcomers that reggae music has had the pleasure to encounter namely Anthony B. and Sizzla. It also features Jamaica's newest female sensation Tanya Stephens and the teen sensation out of Danny Browne's 'Main Street' camp, Red Rat. If you want to hear good fresh dancehall music, here it is, 'cause this collection truly delivers what it promises: Strictly the best ! Look for it !!
