Jamaica based Marvyn Williams' Voiceful Records label puts out a batch of tunes across a splendid revitalized interpretation of Linval Thompson's hit tune "Train To Zion". The tune was a big success for Linval in the '70s and with the release of the 12" single "Linval Thompson & U Brown Train To Zion" on the Socialist Roots label the success even got bigger. The riddim itself was an updated version of Studio One's "Death In The Arena". Voiceful Records did good business in the past with the "Black Jack" riddim in 2006, but really scored well with John Holt's "Police In Helicopter" riddim in 2007. We all remember the combination lick on that riddim, John Holt teaming up with Sizzla!

Up and coming roots artist Iba Mahr teams up in good style with reggae vet Capleton for the fire blazing tune "Clean And Pure". Turbulence's effort makes less impression, but Chuck Fenda brings us a truly powerful tune called "God Nah Sleep". We don't hear that much from DYCR anymore, but here he's on top with "Jah Creation". Sharrie is a female dancehall artist who charted in 2014 with "Back Up Back Up", a dancehall tune she did with Vybz Kartel. Here she licks the riddim in cultural style for "Jah Never Let Me Down". Gruff voiced Jigsy King displays his energetic style on "Mr. Officer", a humorous ganja tune! Reggae veteran Courtney Melody's tune lacks power and direction, so fast forward to George Nooks. He's the deejay Prince Mohammed on "Someone Loves You Honey" by June Lodge, a true veteran. "What Goes Around" is an excellent conscious tune! Linval Thompson teams up with dancehall icons Bounty Killer & Sizzla Kalonji on the original cut of the riddim. Seems they've used Linval's original '70s vocals and those are given added dimension with Bounty and Sizzla joining him. On the next track the trio is joined by Italian reggae star Alborosie. Finally two instrumental versions round off this nice selection.
