The reggae music coming out of St.Croix in the US Virgin Islands has begun to make the world take notice of the island's wide range of talent, skill and creativity. On I Grade Records' latest release you will find the outings of leading artists as well as a number of new-and-upcoming talents. Eleven artists deliver some eightteen stunning songs. The well known band Midnite is represented here on five songs. Daybreak and Charge are their strongest tunes here. Jah Umbrella and Charge bring strong up-tempo vibes from Midnite's lead singer Vaughn Benjamin.

Deejay Willow blazes his unique fire message on three powerful songs. Calculate The Levels is one of the best tunes on the album, but Manage is almost equally strong. Out of the other deejays here Mash makes a decent impression with his tune Joy. The same more or less goes for Donnie Dread's tune Step Inna Right. Singers Abja and Willmore Daniel Junior deliver fine tunes, with Willmore Daniel Junior's Warning being the strongest tune of the album. The combination Master Chang & Shepard put out a wailing sufferers tune called Hail Jah.

The backing of most songs is by Laurent 'Tippy' Alfred, who plays drums, bass, keyboard and guitar. He also recorded and mixed all the songs. Additional musicians are Donnie Dread, Eric Williams, Matthew Miller, Dion Hopkins and Tuff Lion.

If you're looking for deep roots and soulful tunes do check out this album.
