The very nice "Zion Train Riddim" comes via Liv Up Records, known for delivering some really strong work in the past (pinnacling, likely, with the "Good Life Riddim", which is best known as having backed Mr. Vegas' monstrous hit, "I Am Blessed"). And now there's a brand new reggae juggling, the Crumbs Marsh produced "Zion Train Riddim", which surely has to rank amongst the label's very best as, in its brevity, it manages to make a very large impression.
On the "Zion Train" are some hugely talented, unique vocalists such as Tarrus Riley, Jah Cure, Christopher Martin and Italian reggae superstar Alborosie. The biggest impact thus far has been made, unsurprisingly, by superstar Tarrus Riley with a tune named after the label. It almost seems that everything Tarrus Riley touches turns into gold. Apart from Tarrus Riley's "Live Up", this set also includes above par efforts from Christopher Martin, whose "My Kinda Girl" goes into lovers territory, and Jah Cure with his great title track of the riddim. Also Alborosie's cut called "Rise" is a big tune, worth hearing more than once. Up and comer, Tony Frass (a Liv Up Records official artist) as well as Zagga also chime in with solid tunes as well.
All in all this is a collection of reggae tunes worth picking up!
